William "Bill" L. Booker

William “Bill” Booker, 60, of Kewanee, died Monday, September 25, 2023, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Bill was born December 28, 1962, in Kewanee, the son of Jack L. and Cecilia M. (Cervantes) Booker. Bill attended Kewanee High School, graduating with the class of 1981.

Bill is survived by two children, Jessica Booker, Pinckneyville, Jon Booker, Pinckneyville; a sister, Jacqueline Klein, Kewanee; two nephews, Carl Jason (Jodie) Klein, Kewanee, Nicholas Klein, Moline; two great nephews and a niece, Jayce, Jayden, and Jaelyn; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bill served in the United States Navy. He worked as a welder for Great Dane and was a volunteer firefighter in Willisville, Illinois. Bill enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed alternative/rock n roll music and loved dogs. Bill was an avid Cubs and Bears fan.
